CORIAN
Corian is a solid surface consisting of natural minerals and pure acrylic polymer, which delivers endless design possibilities. It has invisible hygienic joins, can be formed into bowls and rounded shapes and used in kitchen splashbacks.

STARON
HI-MACS
HI-MACS can be crafted into crisp angles or soft curves to suit classic or contemporary design styles and offers a warmth that is inviting to the touch. It’s natural translucency, especially in the lighter colours, is often used by designers to bring in a new dimension.

Caesarstone began in 1987 near the ancient Roman city of Caesarea. Caesarstone prides itself on its ongoing commitment to research and development, innovation and the highest quality of standards. It is popular for use as a kitchen benchtop or bathroom vanity.
Pure white is their hero colour, as the range moves into the whites with spots of colour, to grey, browns and ending in deep blues, greys and blacks. Some sparkles or aged granite effects, soft veins highlight colours for extra movement.

Natural Stone
GRANITE
Granite is an igneous rock with grains large enough to be visible with the unaided eye. It forms from the slow crystallization of magma below Earth’s surface. Granite is composed mainly of quartz and feldspar with minor amounts of mica, amphiboles, and other minerals. This mineral composition gives granite a multiple colour choices.
The word “granite” is used by people who sell and purchase cut stone for structural and decorative use. These “granites” are used to make countertops, floor tiles, curbing, building veneer, monuments, and many other products.
In the commercial stone industry, a “granite” is a rock with visible grains that are harder than marble. Granite is the rock most often quarried as a “dimension stone” (a natural rock material that has been cut into blocks or slabs of specific length, width, and thickness). Granite is hard enough to resist abrasion, strong enough to bear significant weight, inert enough to resist weathering, and it accepts a brilliant polish. These characteristics make it a very desirable and useful dimension stone.

MARBLE + LIMESTONE
Marble is a metamorphic rock that forms when limestone is subjected to the heat and pressure of metamorphism. It is composed primarily of the mineral calcite and usually contains other minerals, such as clay minerals, micas, quartz, pyrite, iron oxides, and graphite.
Marble is the most porous choice for kitchen tops although this shouldn’t deter you. Marble has been used for thousands of years you just need to be aware of how to care for it to ensure its beauty will last for years to come. Honed marble countertops have a matte finish and are more forgiving and a little easier to care for as they will not show any scratches or etching. While polished marble countertops have a sheen they are more vulnerable to scratches and stains that might come from marinade spills and acidic juices. If you have chosen to go with a polished surface, please make sure you remember to dust your marble with a micro fibre cloth to ensure no small particles or granules scratch the surface.
We recommend resealing your marble every year to ensure longevity. Sealers can be bought from your stone supplier or all major hardware stores.
The great thing about marble is that any imperfections, stains and chips can be fixed by a reputable stone mason or fabricator.
